The Twin Cities Area Transportation Study (TwinCATS) is Benton Harbor-St. Joseph urbanized area, as designated by the United States Census. The Twin Cities Area Transportation Study encompasses 12 jurisdictions located in Berrien County, these municipalites are:

The Niles-Buchanan-Cass Area Transportation Study (NATS) is the Michigan piece of the South Bend, Indiana, urbanized area as designated by the United States Census. The Niles-Buchanan-Cass Area Transportation Study encompasses 9 jurisdictions in Berrien and Cass Counties, these municipalites are:
